THE FOREIGN MISSION MONTHLY NEWS UPDATE FOR DECEMBER 2018

 Kenya November 2018

In November a group from the ALC spent a few weeks in Kenya. This year  they traveled the countryside, each day going to churches among the mountains, or deep in the farmlands. Some churches were bursting with people, while others had only 5-10 present. Many of the people were sincerely looking to hear from the Word of God.  In going to individual congregations, we were able to connect in a more personal way with the people than is possible in larger joint services. Often after the service, the youth would teach the children and Jon, Joel and Gregory would have a question and answer session. This is a wonderful way to connect.  The questions that were asked helped us to better understand the people, and brought up many great topics for which the Word of God has the answers.  Open air services were also held in the village squares.

This is Benmark. Benmark is a Pastor in Kenya, a husband and father. He is also an entrepreneur of sorts.  In the effort to support his family and help the ministry, he has a few cows, raises some crops, and recently has been learning how to raise honey bees!

News From the Field

Kenya

Trust all of you are you doing well.
God chose you to minister to his body in Kenya and other places for a purpose.
We need to be a ware of the obstacles we go through, God will
perfect what He began.
The storms mean we stand strong and see souls worn.
The devil aims to steal, destroy and kill, but Jesus came to give mercy and abundance of life.
I gazed heaven, I saw no grave no hospital nor blood, I realized we are only visitors here,
We must therefore focus to Jesus for victory.
Send greetings to all for us

Pastor Benmark

Dear brother John. God's peace. I am writing this to thank you for the wonderful team we had this year. I want to thank the foreign mission for allowing thus Wonderful team led by Gregory and Julie. The girls were a blessing to our churches and the pastors did a great job preaching and teaching the word of God not leaving behind David who was a blessing to the youths and the small children. I pray that God will bless them and give them good health. They were polite, social, kind and humble. I thank the pastors for teaching mostly about forgiveness, fruits of the spirit and the good testimony they gave which had a lesson to learn. I wish to ask the foreign mission board to bring more pastors who may teach and preach the gospel to our people here. Thanks for the donations and support to that the foreign mission keeps giving to our Kenyan churches. God is good who has blessed us with heavenly blessings.

Pastor Fredrick.

Guatemala

Last week the youth in the Guatemala ALC were able to have a Youth Camp.  It was a time of learning, sharing, and growing in Christ, as well as having some fun times together in a Christian environment. We are thankful for such events!

Rwanda

Dear Pastor. John,

We are glad to receive your message to us. Glory be to God, our Heavenly Father.

For Pastor Frank and Gregory, God led them. God was with them since the time they arrived here in Rwanda up to their departure day. God blessed our people of Rwanda through these two brothers in the Lord.

They taught the Word of God from Wednesday up to Sunday  during the Church Services where they preached. No rest; they traveled to different regions and visiting our Pastors and teaching the Word of God.

What I think about them:
They are men of God. They are good teachers of God's Word, and they teach what they know and believe. They love the people of Rwanda. I, myself saw how both of them are very interesting to meet our church members and greeting village people wherever we could pass by while traveling.
Gregory likes to meet adults people and children and the youth. Both of them have passion to teach and preach God's Word.

Our request about them is that, it can be good if they can start to have at least two trips to Rwanda in each year. This will be helpful to this church of Rwanda mostly seminars or conferences to our Pastors and Teachers, and seminars to Women, and seminars to Youth people.

If it is possible at FM, it can be more good once this mission (trip) of Rwanda reach the extent of Kenya; we saw in Kenya that the team has women/girls. Next time, if they are women who are interested to visit Rwanda, may you please allow them to come in the team that will visit Rwanda. This also will be very interesting to our women of Rwanda to hear testimonies and teachings from their fellow women from USA or Canada who are faithful in the Lord Jesus Christ.

My God bless you and God bless the USA and Canada.

In Jesus Christ,
Pastor Jean Claude MANIRAGABA

Dear sir,
Warm Greetings to you from Dr Solomon.
How do you do dear brother?

I am quite fine By His Mercies and very much busy with the meetings.Last two months I have traveled about 9000 KMS.

God gave me wonderful opportunities to preach the gospel to about 24,000 people , which includes Non Christian's and the believer's. This is a great responsibility and a privilege to present His Son to the people.    Presenting Christ is not a regular here in India, as much ministry is based on Prosperity.

Many, in fact, most preacher's say just God, but not mention the name of the Lord Jesus.  It's a kind of general  message, but not  a specific one. Exclusiveness of Christ is not being presented to the masses.I always feel privileged and obligated to preach Christ Jesus. My Itenary is busy with many more public meetings a part from our regular Bible Study Classes.  It is His Grace alone enabling me to carry the most privileged work. I Know that I am unworthy, but His Grace is strengthening this vessel. The Lord is taking me to the many parts of India to preach the Gospel.

Thank you dear Sir

His Servant
Dr.Solomon

>  Bibles were distributed in several countries this month from the Bible Fund. Want to donate to the bible fund? Click here

>  We are thankful for the special donations for Bibles to Muslim countries.  All specially earmarked funds for Muslim countries are now distributed.  This was done slowly with much oversight to ensure each Bible was placed in the hands of ones who needed them.

> World Wide Bible Studies are being held Bi-Weekly on Google Hangouts!

> All the church building funds we had from special donations has been distributed.  More funds are needed and we appreciate any funds given to help congregations get suitable gathering places.

The Foreign Mission fully understands that nothing can be accomplished except that God through His Holy Spirit would move His children to help in their individual capacity.  We certainly give all Honor, Praise, and Glory to God.  Items are put here only so you can see the various ways that you can help in the Lord's Vineyard, even if you cannot leave your home! Prayer is of top importance of course!
O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Top 5 List

Church building fund:  We have a small specially donated church completion fund set up.   So far several church roofs have been completed.  The FM believes it best for the local congregations to put their own prayers, sweat, and treasure into their own church so that each congregant takes personal interest in the church.   We do enjoy helping such congregations finish their building, hence the fund.  We have many current needs for church buildings!

Emergency Medical Fund:  This fund is currently out of money.  It is so nice to have some funds available in the event a child or some other church member in our churches abroad is met with sickness or accident.  This fund has helped so many in the last several years.   We are so thankful to be able to occasionally help when the funds allow.

The Bible Fund; We get many requests for Bibles. It is such a blessing to give the WORD of LIFE! Click here to donate.
