FM November Monthly News

THE FOREIGN MISSION MONTHLY NEWS UPDATE FOR NOVEMBER 2017
From Kenya with Love

"This is the first time I have been in Africa. Since we arrived two weeks ago we have been working in various villages within a few hundred mile radius of Nairobi. The conditions in the villages are difficult, to say the least. In my photos I try to focus on the beauty of the people, not necessarily the poverty or hardships around them. One interesting fact that is repeated over and over is how much better life become when these Kenyans comes to Christ. Their lives change for the better, both inside and outside, but this change is a fact in any country, whether 1st world, 2nd world or 3rd. When Christ enters into the lives and hearts of men, there a new and vibrant stability and hope will be found." - Gregory Greve
Please keep Gregory in your prayers as he continues in Kenya until December 2nd.
Thank you!
The last monthly news we made mention of all the gifts people had donated for us to bring to Kenya. All of those items were given away. We washed little boys dirty feet and put new rubber boots on them. We gave a little boy new shorts who's pants were being held up by a string. Little girls in ripped dresses received a new dress. We gave new glasses to many who needed. Its special to be part of this, to meet the practical needs of people. We know however above all and with all of it we hope the messages spoken, prayers of encouragement and love shown points them to Jesus. To His love, His grace, His life, His forgiveness and His peace.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

News From the Field
November Update

Rwanda

Praise the name of Jesus Christ!!

As a church, we shall never forget the first mission trip the two missionaries of Apostolic Lutheran Church in America did in Rwanda, from 16th to 20th November 2017. We shall continue to remember the two days of seminar we had with them held at our local congregation of Cyabayaga, and how we were blessed through their good teachings about “Grace”; “Salvation”; and “Faith”, and also the “Law”. As a Lutheran church we should keep on remembering the “Ephesians 2: 8-10”.

We thank you brothers in the Lord Jesus Christ: Gregory Greve and Pastor Frank Famiyeh for this time you spent here in Rwanda. We thank you for your prayers to the people of Rwanda.

We were also blessed through your preaching to our Christians together with the seminar participants at Cyabayaga on Saturday, and also on Sunday through your preaching at our local congregation of Mukama.
We thank God for all of what He has put into your hearts and shared to us Rwandans. God bless you and God bless all of the leaders of ALCA and God bless the Directors of Foreign Missions.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and forever more, Amen!

God bless you and God bless your country of United States of America (USA).

In His Services !!

Pastor Fredrick
God's peace. I greet you all in the name of Jesus Christ. I am very thankful for what you did during in my house and at the church. Let me thank Julie for her support to the children and our mothers in the church plus her youths team. Thanks to the FM administrator John Ruotsala for his great love to the Kenyan churches. I cannot forget to thank brother Frank and pastor Gregory from Canada who have taught us and empowered us with the word of God. Let me assure the foreign mission board that the team indeed did us good by feeding us spiritually mostly the Salvation we receive through faith in Jesus Christ not by works lest any man should boast. I am so thankful for the financial support you gave to the Kenyan churches for food, travels, sun glasses, reading glasses, clothes for children and many other things among others. Let me thank my dear brother Timothy for being their driver althrough and our wives and church members who did great work to help in one way to make the meetings succeed.

   Other Highlights of the Month

 > A new church was dedicated in Kenya.  This church was supplied with a roof system, plaster and cement through the loving donations of American Christians.

> The Bible fund was low so this month only a few Bibles were dispersed. In the next week or two Bibles will be delivered in West Africa.  God's Word is a great Christmas gift to someone who cannot get one due to poverty.

> Additional Sunday School books have been distributed this month in various countries. The picture below is Pastor K with a small part of the children supplied with books!

The Foreign Mission fully understands that nothing can be accomplished except that God through His Holy Spirit would move His children to help in their individual capacity.  We certainly give all Honor, Praise, and Glory to God.  Items are put here only so you can see the various ways that you can help in the Lord's Vineyard, even if you cannot leave your home! Prayer is of top importance of course!

The Bible fund was only able to make one donation last month and soon will be sending money for Bible to West Africa.  After that donation the fund will be very almost at zero and the requests keep coming in.  Bibles are mostly given out to those in poverty who cannot otherwise afford a Bible.  It is such a blessing to give the WORD of LIFE! Click here to donate.
