THE FOREIGN MISSION MONTHLY NEWS UPDATE FOR APRIL 2017

May your entire Holy Week be filled with hearing and reading the Truth's of God's Word. From Palm Sunday, to Maundy Thursday, to that ultimate act of Love for fallen mankind that took place on the Cross on Good Friday, culminating with Resurrection Day!  May this season be such an encouragement for all of our hearts as we walk through this temporary world all the way to heaven above.  All Christians can be so thankful for what our Lord Jesus has accomplished for us!

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
In the end of March trips were made to Guatemala and Haiti.

Haiti

The group that went to Haiti this month.

"As we arrived at the church in La Boule, people lined the driveway, greeting us.  We enjoyed listening to them sing “How Great Thou Art” in French." - Jane Hannu (Read her full article as well as others, in the next Where He Leads)
Chantelle and Jane Hannu served the people of Haiti through medical work.

Guatemala

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2 Thessalonians 2:15
The Foreign Mission is so thankful that three of the pioneers of mission work in our federation, Alvar Helmes, Carl Niemitalo, and Willard Tervo have taught their children, who in turn are also teaching their children in the ways of the Lord. (blessings to the generations!)
Kelly Helmes, with his daughter Heather, Paul Tervo with his daughter Sofia, and Scott Niemitalo and his wife Karen served together in Guatemala in March. We are so thankful for generations of Christian families working together in His Vineyard!
While in Guatemala with the Firm Foundation Christian School students and staff (joined by Scott & Karen and Julie.) the team was able to build 2 homes, had church services, visited new mothers at the hospital, visited a school, spent time with the youth and many other things to shine the light of Jesus by loving and serving in many ways.

MEET A FRIEND

(we are excited to include this new section in each Monthly News our hope is that you can feel better connected to some of your brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world.)
Anita (and her baby Lizzy). Anita is a pastors wife in Ghana. She teaches Sunday School in their church, cares for her children at home, she is very friendly and laughs a lot. She has a desire to share the message of salvation because "I was lost, I was a sinner living in fornication and a drunkard and Jesus saved me, He changed me".

Guatemala

This last month we had a wonderful time with a group of young boys and girls, all students from a Christian School in Washington State. They came with several adults as leaders. It was a blessed time, I´m sure, for both sides: they blessed us and but they were also blessed with all the experiences they had in our Country. I´m so grateful of having that group among us and i pray for them to come back and also for more teams to be able to coming to Guatemala with the same Spirt of serving and love.

Pastor Giovani

The Foreign Mission fully understands that nothing can be accomplished except that God through His Holy Spirit would move His children to help in their individual capacity.  We certainly give all Honor, Praise, and Glory to God.  Items are put here only so you can see the various ways that you can help in the Lord's Vineyard, even if you cannot leave your home!
